Anna Karamanou served as a national representative in two European Commission networks on gender equality policy, as a member of the European Parliament, and as the chair of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality in the European Parliament. In this podcast, however, she introduces herself as the author of the books “100 Years of Turkey 1923-2023: Nationalism, Feminism, Europeanism & Political Islam. From Osman to Kemal & Erdoğan” and “The Peaceful Uprising of Female Sapiens 1821-2021.” These are two significant books that provide women with historical arguments.
