The book presentation event for Anna Karamano’s book titled “Europe and Women’s Rights – Europeanization in Greece and Turkey” published by Papazisis Publications is organized by the Cultural Association of Bank Employees of N. Ilia and the Secretariat for Gender Equality of OTOE. The book presentation will take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 11, at 7 p.m., at the Conference Center of the Regional Unit of Ilia in Pyrgos (Administrative Building).
The event will be greeted by Kostas Triantafyllopoulos, President of the Cultural Association of Bank Employees of Ilia, and Achilleas Mylonopoulos, General Secretary of the Federation of Bank Organizations of Greece (OTOE). The following speakers will talk about the book:

– Rodi Kratsa, President of the Institute of Democracy Konstantinos Karamanlis, former Member of the European Parliament, First Vice President of the European Parliament, Sociologist, Master’s in European Integration.
– Maria Stratigaki, Deputy Mayor for Social Solidarity, Welfare & Gender Equality of the Municipality of Athens, Professor of Sociology at Panteion University.
– Sophia Kanta, Member of the Board and Secretary for Gender Equality of OTOE, Member of the Bureau and Executive Committee of UNI-Europa, Vice President of the Women’s Committee of UNI-Europa.
– Anna Karamanou, former MEP, former President of the Parliamentary Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality, PhD in Political Science & Public Administration, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The presentation will be coordinated by Irini Nikolopoulou, Journalist, Blogger, and Communication Consultant.

Also, the event will be participated by the Lyceum of Greek Women of Pyrgos, the Cultural Center of OTE Employees of the Prefecture of Ilia, the Women’s Association of Pyrgos “Oi Pyrgiotisses,” and the Center for Solidarity and Development Cooperation of Ilia “Kallirroi Parren.”
The event will conclude with music curated by Konstantina Sakka-Kyritsi, the School Counselor for Music Education in Western Greece, who will conduct the Choir of the Lyceum of Greek Women of Pyrgos.
